Michael Ian Brisbane – Guitarist, Performer, Educator

Michael Ian Brisbane, lead guitarist for The Brisbane Project, is known for his soulful guitar work that blends blues with rock, metal, progressive, and contemporary Christian styles. His expressive solos and commanding stage presence bring both passion and technical mastery to every performance.

A Texas native, Michael’s musical journey began early—drums at age two, piano and cello in childhood, and guitar at 13, where his lifelong passion took root. After mentorship with Paul Baloche, he relocated to Southern Oregon in 2008, meeting longtime collaborators bassist Mike Pugh and drummer Ray Kilmon.

Over the years, he has performed with bands including Southern Gunns, 2nd Amendment, Bloodmoon Warning, and Sylent Storm, with highlights like an audition for Lita Ford in 2014. In 2020, he founded The Brisbane Project, returning to his blues roots in 2023 with a fresh, modern sound. Beyond the stage, Michael shares his expertise through his YouTube channel, offering guitar lessons, performances, and insights into his creative process.
